No experience required. Ages 5 through adult. Instruments available to borrow.
Whether the goal is a first recital, a college audition, or simply playing for fun after work, our teachers tailor every session to the student in front of them.

Clear, leveled milestones let students and parents see real progress, from a first scale to a full solo repertoire.
Crescendo Music Academy opened its doors on the North Shore in 2009 with two teachers, one upright piano, and a simple idea: private lessons should feel personal, not like an assembly line. Seventeen years later, that idea hasn't changed, even as our studio has grown.
Every teacher on staff performs professionally around Chattanooga, from wedding gigs to the symphony pit, and brings that real-world musicianship into every lesson. We keep class sizes small, studios sound-treated, and scheduling flexible for busy families, because the best lessons happen when a student actually wants to show up.
Twice a year we take over a local theater for a full recital, complete with lights and a sound engineer, so every student — from their very first song to their tenth year with us — gets to experience what it feels like to perform.

Real progress, told by the parents and students who've lived it.
Our daughter went from refusing to touch the piano to asking for extra practice time. Her teacher figured out exactly what would keep her engaged.

I started guitar at 34 with zero musical background. Eighteen months in, I played my first open mic downtown. I never thought that would happen.
Derek Aldous
Adult guitar student
The recital at the theater was the moment it clicked for our son — he finally saw himself as a real musician, not just a kid taking lessons.
